Corinthian Composit Capitals

Year: 2003

Stone Type: Antique Luders Limestone

Description: This is one of four very large capitals carved for a home in Indian Wells, California. The carvings were so large that it could not be cut from one single block because the ledge in which the stone would naturally be quarried was not thick enough. Two blocks had to be carved carefully so each was shaped exactly to fit together.
